Well, I take responsibility for the post. But, I know no more. :)

No freaking way!
I came in to post a picture / maybe a small story about the car my dad used to own until about fifteen years ago. Over a decade after we sold it, I saw some pictures online of an identical car, in the same state, that had been wrecked... Did a little sleuthing, and the license plates were still the same collector plates as it had in a picture on our front yard.
I see it's a video, and as soon as I click play, and the music starts... BOOM! That was our Judge! I am literally paused at 0:02 to type this.
For those of you curious. Yes, it was a real Judge. 1969 RA III, 4 speed, hide-away headlights, and PHS documented Judge. It was restored before we bought it, probably sometime in the early-mid 90's. It was a clean, very pretty car. It wasn't perfect, it had a slight oil leak somewhere that my dad never did track down.

That must kill you to see a great car wrecked.

It's more like accepting fate, realizing life goes on, and other life lessons you're supposed to pick up from The Circle of Life... the song from The Lion King. Only instead of being recycled, that Judge is now someone's lawn ornament. I guess because "he can." It will take longer to be returned to the Earth.
I sometimes like to terrorize my car friends and find out which ones live in the real world with the pictures, haha. We went through a bunch of fun cars when I was younger, and there never was a real big emotional attachment to them, except for maybe the picture of my little brother sitting in the driver's seat of a 69 Z/28 we had when he was probably, oh, about three. I probably wasn't even 10 when that one sold.
Anyways, it's helped me drive my car(s) how I want to drive them, and not worry about them being as prestine as they were when new! I bought it to drive it, and if I don't enjoy driving it and making use of its capabilities, what's the point! (PS: controlled environment, and be safe on public roads.)
Just... yeah... I don't wanna run into a telephone pole. (That's what happened to the 69. I've seen the pictures.)

That song was great!

What a philosophy. You are a lot less attached than many would be. It sounds like your dad was big on muscle cars. I would have loved to know him, I'm sure. He and I are probably from the same era. The whole family seems to really have a great outlook on life and cars. Glad to have had this conversation. You find something new around every corner/comment.

Don't get me wrong, if anything happened to my car or if I sold it, it would be with a heavy heart. I think that's mostly unique to my current car, and not the ones before it, however. This one I have really taken home those thoughts of driving it as intended.
My dad hasn't had a 'fun car' for a while, even though I did try to persuade him a few years ago. His solution was a 2.7T Audi Allroad... lol. He graduated from high school in 73, and I think his second car was a 70 GTO 4 speed (which we have seen locally, restored, at a car show), and I came home as a baby from the hospital in a blue 72 GTO. I wish I had a list of the cars he's owned, but I'll name a few from memory. There was that 69 RS Z/28 that I mentioned earlier, and another 69 RS Z/28 that was hugger orange with white stripes. A 68 Z/28, at least two 70-72 big block Chevelle SS, a winter beater 70 Cuda with a 340... ok, I'm going to find a forum signature to refresh my memory.
Here we go: "71gto, gt6+,71TA, 68z28, 69rsz28,74vette, 70cuda340, 73grandam455, x-11(HAHA), 69ss350camaro, 67ssrs396camaro, 71lt1vette iroc-z, 72gto, 71ss402camaro, 71ss402chevelle, 71ss454chevelle, 69rsz28, 69judge
, 94z28 98ssz28 2.7ttcurrent, gas/tires/oil yadda yadda yadda:"
Thanks for the kind words, by the way!
