"Hooker" (Hooker)

This isn't really newsworthy, but I'm excited. I used the dealer's adhesive remover to take off the ECO badge (Not pictured, but as an aside, don't buy anything from Gatzies in MA on Amazon. They are complete garbage.) I lined up the badge with the tail light line because it was reasonably straight. I think it looks pretty good. What say you, Oppo?

I figured on 6 but I will take the 5. Hey, at least I'm not false advertising like most badge ass holes. The car does have a turbo!

How hard is it to get the dealer crap off? I wanted to remove the dealer logo. I think its a sticker as opposed to a badge. What should I use? I was also thinking of taking some of the other stuff off. I think there are 4 badges on the rear: Subaru and AWD something on the left and Impreza and WRX on the right. I was thinking maybe just leave WRX.

Fair enough. I didn't know there was a system in place already. I stand corrected.

Stickers, I just pick at them with a finger nail. Goo Gone is excellent. The stuff I used this morning was JBI Inc. Bug, tar and adhesive remover. It was excellent on the badge. Only use it on the badge you want to remove though. That stuff gets on a different badge or sticker and it's all over. I soaked a cloth and let it drip behind the badge. It sat for about 5 minutes and pulled right off with a plastic wedge. That part is important so you don't scratch the paint.

Yeah, I'm not doing that. I might do a Trifecta tune at some point though. I would like to be out of warranty first though.

Sweet! I still love mine, one of the best little mods I've done

So was the Eco badge in the same location as the turbo? could you tell there was something there or were all traces gone? I'm really nervous about messing up the paint. I thought even picking at it with a fingernail might scuff the paint.

Agreed. Next is 2LT wheels and MAYBE some black bow-tie badges. Maybe. Not sure on that one yet.

ECO badge was in top left, I put the Turbo in bottom right of trunk lid. There was no residue. I used the adhesive remover, lifted the badge with plastic wedge, wiped it clean with adhesive remover, wiped with windex and then polished with cleaner wax. Picking with a finger nail won't scratch. Scraping might. Your nails are rather soft. Make sure you use a softer plastic wedge that is designed for such things for badge removal. Stickers are just a can of Goo Gone and some fingernails away from being gone. I'm going to take mine off. Just haven't gotten to it yet.

I've thought about going back to gold bowties, but I like the black. My vinyl is chipped a bit on the front, so when I get around to dealing with it I may leave it gold for a bit.
I think that mine would look great as a black and gold theme. Bowties gold, gold wheels.
My next modification is the wheel caps, I ordered some camaro all silver ones hoping they'd fit, but they're too big. Next I'm going to try vinyl, and if I don't like it I'll order some of the silver with the gold bowtie ones from a Cruze.

Like center caps? Yeah, I love the look of the Cruze but I just can't wait to get my 2LT wheels.

Yes, the caps in the center
They look like this stock:
I have vinyl over the gold, but it's peeling and looks bad up close. I wanted to do something like this:
But the caps from the Camaro are too big. So I ordered various samples of vinyl (should be enough in a sample to do them) in brushed metal and silver variants to try and get a close match. If that doesn't work, I'll order these:
So at least the outside is silver instead of black.

I see the difference. Silver would be ideal indeed. I like the gold bow tie and all that but silver is really nice too. It would certainly make a huge difference in the wheels and overall look.

The gold just doesn't fit. I have the same problem with Ford and the blue in their badge, I think the brand emblem should be neutral. Overall the combination of gold in the bow ties and red in the RS and turbo badging makes the car too busy. The black bowties help, the red in the RS and turbo is fine, but I feel like the red, silver, and black on my wheels is too much. Switching to a silver center cap that matches the wheels would look nice with my red calipers and red filler caps to accentuate it.
This is my wheel now:
It's just too busy. If I didn't hate plastidip so much, I'd try plastidipping them gold to go for the black and gold look, then I wouldn't mind the bowties nearly as much.

Yeah, I like how Chevy is getting more detailed but there is a point where you can go too far. They may have done that here. I think the red bow tie takes away from the red calipers a little bit. Like you said, too busy. Keep me posted.
