Ok, I have a bit of a dilemma - I want to look for a Job but at the same time, I need to deal with College AND I have mandatory youth council meetings (yes, some places have councils for 17-24 year olds, and I'm not exactly close to 24 - and they're probably one of the few reasons I'm still living), and I can't really let go of one since - it certainly beats staying at home!
But crap, I can't even manage an agenda to save my life... I need help!
Oh, and here's a crop of inline stallions for your time.

I am in the same place. Do I drop going to a club and pick up more hours, or just suck at school some more(which I already am). Honestly, if you don't need the money don't worry about work.

Sadly, I do. I can't spot myself out of preventative maintenance for a bike, and I want to save up for a car again. As well as insurance. I don't want to drive an ES300 forever...

Can your parents help out? Try and work something out.

Edit: Well, that went horrible - a valve check costs $300, and I'm still a bit worried about doing it myself.

Doesn't hurt to try. Also, if you can get some financial aid do that! I think I can do it this year because I am old enough.

Is your family out of the price range for financial aid?

Er, here's the thing.
I failed 2 classes under financial aid, so I need to NOT ONLY make up those two, but pay back the wasted money.

So far, I covered at least two quarters and it's a seven quarter program.
... Am I horrendously screwed?

I assume 4 years? I would say, try and rectify those failures and pay back those bills next year, then apply for some more aid. You have time, so I would use it.

Yo I got 3 jobs, college, my car, snowboarding, a social life, and my motorcycle to deal with.
You just gotta do what you gotta do man. Tough it out for awhile so it's easy down the road.

Try seasonal work. I work for the first two weeks every quarter and I can take over other people's shifts when they want subs.

Life ain't easy. You should set a schedule. With a wife 2 kids house renovations, work, side work and studying for a professional licence, I needed to set a time for everything or it all blows up. Wednesday nights are so stay the F away. College is important and most likely expensive. U'll never save for a car if you don't get a decent job to pay off your loans. If you fail out that will be even harder. My major had more work than any other on campus. It was hard to watch my roommates go out and party when I had to sit and do homework. In the end it does pay off. Does your school offer any on campus positions? I had a bunch of friends who had crap jobs in school so they could study at work when it was slow. I did construction for a while and often had to go to class covered in dirt. You do what you gutta do.
