Anything at all. Your choice. What's the most Maine way to get around?
Why do I ask, you say? Because I'm tired of hearing that the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is the Ford F-Series. I'm more interested in what the best vehicle for the state should be.
Also, if you think the most Maine vehicle happens to be the F-Series, then by all means put it down.
And as always...
Choose wisely!
This is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a 51-part series of Opposodes where I gather OppositeLock's view of America in the form of cars. Have at it.

Subaru Forester (base manual) or a 1980's Oldsmobile with studded snow tires and bags of sand in the trunk. Old 1950's - 1970's pickup truck (best if old Forest Service vehicle with 4wd).

All I noticed in Maine as a kid were Outbacks and Saabs partly due to the fact my family would joke that they were "Maine cars" because we didn't see them as much. If I had to pick one it would be an Outback. Those two toners were everywhere.

WJ ('99-'04) Grand Cherokee
Mine has been fantastic in shitty Wisconsin winter, so it'll probably work in Maine too.
Then again, mine is only a winter car and I drive a much more fun car the rest of the year.

I was thinking Forester as well, but LL Bean edition. Maybe once you get all the way to Maine, though, people go for simpler trims.

My disco did pretty well tooling around the North Woods for a week last June and with leated seats it's awesome in winter.

Subaru or Jeep.
Of those, for me, a WRX or Wrangler.

haha! my answer was:
...because I am totally ignorant of Maine. that said, I wouldn't be the slightest but offended if people recommended the Suzuki Reno for me living in Reno, as the name does match...
