I wish I had a Driver-like story to tell this time, like the one about the pizza from a while ago, but what actually happened was a dumb mistake that almost got and me, my brother and sister killed. Not cool, if you'll ask me, but I actually wanted to know what it felt like to start a day beating death. Feels good, by the way.

What actually happened is that my aforementioned sister was having bouts of back pain the night before and thought it would be a good idea to heat up a water pack on a metal pot on the oven to ease it. At 5am. While everyone else was sleeping. I don't have to tell you what happened next. She went back to bed, forgot about it, fell asleep, and the water pack exploded, showering the kitchen with incandescent bits of plastic that promptly lit other stuff up.

Fortunately, both me and my brother woke up several hours earlier than usual today about half an hour after the blaze started, out of blind luck, I assume, and in time to get it under control with only a few minor burns to the hands and one less pot in the kitchen. A pot I was gonna use for tonight's dinner. Anybody else ordering Pizza?

Anyways, what really bothers me here is the fact that neither of us are exactly amateurs when it comes to fires. We grew up around fireplaces (my state gets pretty cold in the winter and a good fire is the only way to keep the house warm) and our grandparents' house had a veritable viking longroom with a huge firepit in the middle. We can chop wood, setup and maintain a fire and even rekindle from a night old embers. What I'm trying to say ia that the three of us like fire. A lot. And yet, one of us made a mistake that stupid. I am disappoint.

But it's like they say, all's well when it ends well. The rest of my morning consisted of two class periods and a long, if simple surgical procedure, so I guess I at least get to say that I beat death then cheated someone else out of it before lunch. Up yours, you grim motherfucker.

Also, Senna McLarens. All of them.

The one I was missing until ladt weekend was the 4/6. Also, I hadn't picked the 4/5 yet, but I knew where to find them, so the 4/6, which seems to be the most popular of the McLarens was the only one I needed to find.
