"Luke's Dad Sold His 2000TL To Get a Sienna" (lukielauxd)

Some of you might notice my constant picks of LS as a dream car and to explain that, I'm going to tell you guys how my dad is the biggest Lexus/Porsche fan in the fact that he's biased towards them in every way.
There's the context. Now my parents have been telling me they'll reward me with a car when I became a Senior in high school since I went to a magnet high school and had to leave all my middle school friends. But then that deadline got extended to if I was able to stay in California for college. (That didn't happen.) So now I'm in Oklahoma with a deal with my dad that if I get into Stanford for graduate school, I'll get a car from them.
My list has always been supported by my dad because it's literally made out of all Lexuses and Toyotas. (LS, GS, ISF, RCF, Avalon, Sienna XLE don't ask, I just love minivans.)
Which is why in our previous phone call when he asked me about my immediate "If Dad Suddenly Wanted To Get You A Car" list, and I told him I added the Mustang, SS, Corvette onto the list, I almost got disowned.
Damage that Oklahoma has done to my sheltered California attitudes:
1. I've been Ya'll 'n a lot.
2. There are American cars on my dream car list.
3. My best friend in CA's dad asked me how much BBQ I've had since I came here.
I wonder what the rest of my friends in California thinks is happening to me here. They probably think that I have a constant IV of Beer, Trucks and Republican Jesus flowing into my bloodstream.

If your Dream Car list has a Toyota Avalon or Sienna on it you need a whoopin' from some good ol boys.
Also, I'm pretty certain you're not getting a car from them. That was bullshit from the day he said it, and he knew it.
Don't get chiggers.

Eh. Always good motivation to think about possibly getting a car if I do well in college even though I might end up not getting one.
Oh and for the minivan thing. I just like minivans because they're like the majestic hippo on the freeway to me. They don't look the best, but it always catches your attention.
THAT WAS A TERRIBLE ANALOGY. GO MINIVANS.
