It's been several months since I've visited Katie's, and this seemed like a great weekend to visit for the first time in 2014. Things got started off slowly, but more gearheads rode in as the weather slowly grew warmer.
I wanted to have some extra fun this time around, and it'd been a while since I've shot with my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . All of these photos were shot with that lens; many of them freelensed. I love the natural light leaks and flares. This Porsche's colors in the rising sun just scream old film to me; my favorite mix of cool and warm tonalities.

Nice photos! Was the Red F40 there on Saturday? Can't get enough of that guy's car.

No F40 this weekend. Only one Furrari; I'd expect the Italian invasion to continue once the roadsalt is washed away.

Was that a Morgan Aeromax with the split rear window, or the older Morgan Aero 8?
If that really is an Aeromax, it means it's likely #10 (or thereabouts) in the US. As of last fall, 9 total in the US. 7 on the West Coast, 2 on the East Coast. 1 in New Jersey (locally around me) and the other in Viriginia/surrounding areas, but I was told it was a green. The NJ one is silver. Very difficult to get those imported.

Wow! I didn't know that. There is a red one that goes to Caffeine and Carburetors in New Canaan, CT.

The Aeromax and Aero 8 look very similar from the front, the easiest way to tell the difference is by the rear split window. There are plenty of sources that will try and say they aren't available in the US, but when there's a will, there's a way. That I know of, the Aero 8 is much easier to get into the US. For a while I though they were called the Aerolite, not the Aeromax...
The collector that lives near me with the Aeromax ended up importing the car himself, because he couldn't find anyone who would import the car for him (various reasons from insurance to not importing those cars). Unfortunately, he just wouldn't really talk about any of his cars.

This one has two windows in the back that open on one side of the triangle. The windows are like old fashioned truck windows where one corner is not clipped in.
I'm still not sure if its an 8 or an Aero max, so I included some pictures if they don't get kinja'd.
Heres a back window shot:
Usually he keeps the windows at about a 15 degree angle open.
