!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Prepare for a photo dump of before/after shots and some more stuff from today. If you don't want to go through the pics (I don't blame you), here's the finished product:

Also, I took an exhaust clip with the Go Pro. I'll upload it eventually.

Anyways, here we go. I washed the car like 2 weeks ago, so it wasn't THAT bad, but winter.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The hatch was the worst, as it always is

Kinja'd!!!

Just look at that filth. Gross

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I began with a wash and wax. Finished off my crappy super neon walmart special soap today, finally. Ordered some proper Mequiars professional quality soap last night to have for next time. For the waxing I used some Meguiars Ultimate synthetic liquid wax. This stuff does a good job, it leaves a heck of a shine and lasts pretty long. It's very easy to apply which is a bonus since I'm still doing everything by hand (DA will be ordered this spring). Finished off with invisible glass and some meguiars tire shine. I also took the opportunity to swap some stickers: Oppo sticker went from orange to red, DDMWorks sticker replaced with a neat little Rock Chalk Jayhawk sticker

Kinja'd!!!

Nice and shiny

Kinja'd!!!

(Yes, you can see the infamous Jayhawk Jake in the reflection, it's mirror finish)

Kinja'd!!!

The specs aren't dirt, it's the metal flake

Kinja'd!!!

I love the Sonic script, and dat turbo badge

Kinja'd!!!

Metallic paint is the bomb

Kinja'd!!!

Seriously, SO SHINY

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The wheels really pop. Remember this picture, it will hopefully be changing tomorrow ;)

After washing I went to take some pictures where I took these !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Channeling my inner JJ Abrams apparently

That Mustang had a horrendous after market grille

My Sonic is doing its best cloaking device impression

This also happens to be the same park I fly RC, so I went and hung out at the field for a bit. Afterwards I went to Sedgwick County Park to cruise around and saw some RC people I know racing boats.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

You also can see some cool air traffic from here

Kinja'd!!!

That's when I saw this. Sigh, black cars don't work in Kansas

Kinja'd!!!

Brought her home to inspect the damage...ugh. Dust everywhere

Kinja'd!!!

It is car wash day though, and thanks to DST there's plenty of light. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , so I brought out the hose and a towel

Dat bead...

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

30 minutes later after a quick rinse, dry, and touch up on the windows and she's all clean again

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Hope you enjoyed car wash day as much as I did! Tomorrow is going to be great weather again, so I'm going to go fly my models. Might bring my camera to get some pictures at the field.

I washed my car for the first time since, oh, about November/December. It's been so long ago, I can't really remember. We've had constant snow since the beginning of January, with typical daily temps below freezing, which is way below normal for N.W. Ohio. Friday it finally got up to 45 degrees, so I got the hose out of the basement, turned on the hot water tap for the outside spigot, and cleaned off three months of salt, dirt and filth. I found out my car is a really nice shade of blue, I'd forgotten what it looked like. And I vacuumed and washed up the interior as well, although there is still some salt residue caked onto the drivers side carpet I need to address in the spring. If nothing else, my car at least smell so much nicer on the inside when I'm driving it. The clean exterior lasted exactly one day, as I was up in S.E. Michigan on Saturday, on their wonderful unpaved dirt roads, so now my car is caked with mud/dirt/salt again. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Until I saw Jay's Sonic, it was a car I had unfairly discounted. Looks even better in person.

I love mine, so yes. If you get one, make sure it's a turbo and get the trifecta tune

Being a black car, I get about 30 minutes of clean. When I washed it the first time after the worst of winter, I had forgotten it was a metallic paint.

Washed mine yesterday as well. Maybe I'll get a pic or two at lunchtime before it gets dirty.
