$1,402,500. I repeat: $1,402,500. That is how much this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! sold for.
Thats insane, 1 million dollars for a 911. Record Setting! But its not, at least not in my opinion, absurd. Only 240 M471 lightweight models were ever made. This is the ultimate classic 911. It makes sense it has the ultimate price. Whats amazing is the fact its now worth over $1,000,000 more than a pristine 911 of the same vintage.
Even normal classic 911 prices are apeshit.
This is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . .3 less liters and roughly 300 more pounds than a 2.7 RS lightweight. This sold for $242,000. Holy shit! $242,000 for a ordinary 911s. Insanity! Sure its numbers matching, but still, $242,000! Oh my god.
This is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Its one of 483 911S Targa's from 1967. It sold for !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Thats ridiculous. I'm actually at a loss for words.
This is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . $137,500 for an E. The middle model. I'm at a loss for words.
I was planning on writing a whole article on this, but I think I just need to lay down. Maybe when I recover, but in the meantime, i'll be my garage curled up in a fetal position, reminding myself I will never be able to afford a pre 73 911.

Five years ago you'd be hard pressed to find an ordinary longhood for more than forty grand. Good luck finding one for under that amount today.

Wayne Carrini just had an episode of CCC where he found and flipped a 70? 911e with 5500 miles for 135k or so.
