"K-Roll-PorscheTamer" (k-roll390)

Today I'm sharing with Oppo my favorite Porsche collectibles! The one in the background was my very first Hot Wheels. My dad bought it for me back in 1998 that I've lost and found multiple times over the last 16 years. The one in front, is my most recent Porsche purchase; my new "toy", is a 1985 911 Carrera from Johnny Lightning.
Let's do a comparison shall we?
The Silver Carrera was bought for $.99 at a Kroger by my house, and the Red Carrera was bought for $8.99+shipping. Right away, you can tell the difference in sculpting and detail.
There's no detail whatsoever on the silver, but the red has soo much! the door handles, the engine cover, the actual engine!
The underbody is also well-crafted as well!
And yes, these wheels are in fact rubber!
I'd recommend looking for one of the Johnny Lightnings if you want a Porsche miniature with such detail!

Wow. It looked to be a bit larger. So great details I guess. I got this one to push around my desk.

There's no comparison between an average HW and an average JL. It's not until you start looking at special release HW's (Boulevard etc) that you get rubber wheels but even then, the casting can't really compare to JL.
JL blows the scale slightly, they only really "fit" with one another and they're more costly - basically; you pay for what you get.
Highly recommend checking out Green Light too, if you like JL.

It's a Siku (model no. 1010). I have no clue if it's a known brand outside of Germany.
