I suppose it's been this way for a while, but I just noticed how much 'Murica can be had for around that money. If you want a piece of American heritage on wheels, you're in luck. All these vehicles, across a variety of body styles and purposes, happen to start in the low- to mid-twenties.
2014 Ram 1500: Starting at $24,385
2014 Ford Mustang: Starting at $22,585
2014 Chevy Silverado: Starting at $25,575
2014 Wrangler: Starting at $22,395
2014 Camaro: Starting at $23,555
2014 F150: Starting at $24,445
Oh, there's also the Challenger, though that starts at a bit heftier $26,295 for some reason.
I don't really have a point to make, just surprised that all of these are shooting so close to the $25K bullseye.
So, which would you rather?

I'm partial to pickup trucks but I've hooned many a rental Mustang and can vouch for the grunt of the V6. Don't forget Focus and Fiesta ST - mighty fun for the money if not traditional 'Merican iron.

I think I'd take the Mustang. I'm not a big fan of any of the current trucks, they're just too ungodly humongous, and I've seen the Camaro enough to dislike its looks and driven it enough to love how it rides, but the Msutang would be a nice change for me.
Also, for that kind of money you can't get jack shit in Brazil.

To me it's incredible how cheap these vehicles are. The equivalent of $25k would get me a Focus (the hatch, not the sedan or wagon) with the base little 3 cylinder Ecoboost and no options (no A/C).

Wrangler obviously. Because manual. And because it's the first four door convertible since the Lincoln Continental.
On a side note, Wbizzare, is your name a reference to Wilkes-Barre PA?

Not sure about the Mustang and Camaro, but the trucks and Wrangler are essentially stripper vehicles at that price. Configure one to something you'd actually want, expect it to be anywhere between $30-45k
Also, gimme a Ram 1500 4x4 with 5.7L please

As for the trucks, I can't get over how much better the stock Ford and Chevy look compared to the Ram. Personal preference.

The Chally is overpriced at $26k.

Nope, I just waned the name "Bizarre" at some point, but it was taken. So I added a random letter.
Ha, 4-door convertible, I didn't realize that! It also adds $4K to the price, so I just put forth the base stripper.

For that kind of money you can't get jack shit in any southern hemisphere country that isn't Australia, NZ or SA.

Yeah, I can't figure out how/why they do it. Also the base Challenger looks like a big fat pig on stilts with those tiny skinny wheels.

I know what you mean, but the one you pictured is the Unlimited (4-door)Sport, which starts at $26k. That's the same one I have, pictured above covered in mud in Wilkes-Barre, which is why I asked that. The two door Sport is the base model stripper, starting at $22k.

I only have this to say: good luck finding a dealer that will stock any of those.
Otherwise, cool list. 8-)

Are you kidding me? For that price you could own ALL of the following:
1978 Camaro "Z28 Clone" "Not too much rust" "Badass holley carb"- ~$5000
1990-ish Mustang, "Ran when parked, new paint job and rims, 10 second car!!!!"
- $8000
Chevy Blazer - "Odometer broke at 180,000 miles" - $2000
Crown Victoria - "1 owner, Florida" - $5000
Dodge Ram 1500 "Need it gone asap, lots of rust, no lowballers or I will scrap it" - $1000
"Gets 10MPG" - ~$2000
And still have enough left over in the bank to buy a few engine blocks, hoods, and fenders to little your yard with. Plus a case of Bud Light.

Well it is a fat pig. I don't like the plastichrome 20"s that virtually every Challenger comes with, but the only other option on an SE or SXT are the gloss black 20"s from the $1800 "Sinister Super Sport Group" or stepping up for the $30,295 Rallye Redline. Those redline wheels are sexy though.
And here's the SSS

For around $25000 give me the keys to my Focus ST but I'd consider the V6 Mustang from the list provided otherwise.

For sure. I was going for iconic American iron with that list.
