Foreign ministry officials have confirmed that at least two of the passengers of the missing Malaysian 777 were traveling under assumed identities with stolen passports. One passport was Italian and the other Austrian, both confirmed as having been stolen in Thailand.
I think we can expect a few more twists as this story develops.

Two people traveling on stolen passports. The plane magically disappears from radar at 35,000 feet without even the smallest of hints from the pilots to ground control over the radio. No one in any boats, commercial or otherwise, reported a visible explosion or a smoke trail from a blown up airliner. And a debris field hasn't been found yet.
Tragically mysterious.
