This Ford GT was owned by a Shelby collector who had the stripes painted gold to match his Hertz collection. I love it!

If I had found this in an image search, I would have probably fallen off my chair. I was perusing Ford GT's in eBay when I came across this, so I knew it wasn't a real rent-a-car.

We've met a few times at various car auctions and, interestedly, his GT was the ice breaker. His name is Fred Piluso (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) and he lives in Ohio during the summer.

The eBay listing says it was featured in the magazine "Muscle Car Power". It also says that this GT is on "Mother's California Gold Synthetic Wax." I'm impressed.
