5spd Auto, manual was only available with the anemic 2.5L engine... The other option was anemic engine with cvt... Lol nope

Sold it to dealership. Yes I could have engine swapped/etc but then I would be out of a ride for too long and I would have had to extend my credit limit to afford the procedure immediately.

About $33,500 CAD plus tax, it had $2500 off since the 2015 model is being introduced next month and they needed to clear out inventory.

The forester was very spacious but for some reason it just felt much cheaper to me.

Glad to see your back to another subaru. I swear after my forester and now my saabaru I'm addicted to them now.

Yeah... The engine issue of my last one didn't turn me off... Could have happened with any vehicle, plus warranty means I don't have to worry for a few years.

Not too shabby at all. Hope it's better than the Impreza.

3.6? Nice...I just got one of these for a customer. I didn't know the 6 had flappy paddles, curious how they work.

Yes it is the 3.6. The paddles on the 5 speed auto were vastly better than the paddles on the cvt. They are intelligent as well, if you are at partial throttle the car will skip gears for you. Also, I opted for the base 3.6 over the limited. The black cloth interior felt wayy nicer then the beige cloth, and more comfortable then the leather surfaces. Also the touch screen in the limited seemed really underwhelming and really didn't add much.

My wife and I just purchased a 2014 Limited Subaru. Premium because we wanted the tinting, and the roof racks, and some other things. It is the 2.5 CVT. My wife LOVES this car, of course it replaced her 09 base model Versa. I have to say that it is a nice car/suv whatever. She gets great gas mileage around town, it's safe, it has 170hp so we can merge onto the highways, and pass without planning a mile ahead like her Versa. The CVT is also super nice, it responds quickly, always seems to be right where it should be.
The Forester is a little bit cheaper than the Outback overall, but my wife preferred the Forester, so the wife got what she wanted(since I was getting what I wanted). We got a great price on it, and we were treated amazing the entire time we were there.
