IIs didn't standardize in the UK market with turn signals until the mid-60s, but turn signals were available from the dealer/whomever for many years before that. All IIs/early IIas have more surface mounted headlights as opposed to being in a recess - the recess is a holdover from being able to put a simpler grill over the headlights as well - DURR.

Slab sides are the other big tell for a I.

Licence plate comes back as being a Brown, petrol engined Land Rover registered on 15/09/1952. Which would make it a Series I, the Series II didn't come out till 1958-ish.
