Today is the day that I just absolutely want to crawl into a hole and disappear for a few decades.

there is only time and what you choose to do with it.

The replacement for displacement is apparently multiples thereof.

this kart is epic. I believe it was aluminum monocoque at a time when karts still looked like this.

scrub brakes. everything else is ladies brakes. haha

I find it odd that it has that sort of braking system with a unique frame like that I would just assume disc brakes but maybe because 1961?

simple? my first minibike had a scrub brake, one of the things that made it cooler than the new ones. but it's getting mountain-bike disc's this go-round.

That's some high logic for where I work.

I need to do that with my mini bike...but I might be ganking the motor to put in a kart that is yet to be built.

I did but didnt check it out until because i thought it was just a video.
But that is one sweet mini! Those things are so fun for terrorizing the neighborhoods and stuff.

my brother built up this crazy one that was really scary to ride. It was a briggs motor in one of the really smal taco frames. The briggs had high comp piston ported head high perf cam and ran on alcohol I think it was the craziest sounding thing. but it ripped! He beat the crap out of it and blew the motor a year or two ago. He really needs to get a billet rod and put the thing back together.
I havent rode my mini in a long time I put a 6.5hp motor from harbor freight in it took off the govenor built a header for it and it just isnt as fun for some reason as the tiny 3.5hp motor it had I think the weight balance of having the much larger motor offset to the left just ruined the handling. The power is much better for hills and crap but the top speed seems just the same as before. The 3.5hp was fun to max out and try to see how fast I dared to take corners and try and race the same course with my bro through the streets.

mine started with a 4hp tecumseh, i threw the rod out of the front of the block. so i gnabbed a 2-1/2 hp briggs off my dads edger, pulled the governor, cut the fins off the flywheel, ran a 5hp carb (tank hung off the carb), and hammered part of a baseball batt into the pipe-threaded exhaust port. that think would scream. i'm not gonna make this little tecumseh do that, but i've got a honda gx390 i'm gonna give the scream-treatment to.

sweet. the things are so fun to work on. and there are performance parts that are cheap.
