I've noticed quite a few re-posts lately. For the Weekday crowd, for the Morning crowd. Is there any rule you follow for re-posting? I've never officially re-posted but I'm wondering if there is any unwritten rule. If your post doesn't break 100? 50? Or just never re-post? Thanks for your input!

I only know of three rules:
Don't be a dick, don't be a dick, tag your NSFW
Repost away, just don't be a dick about it

I feel generally re-posts are of things that took a long time to write, or that house important/meaningful content but were posted during the am shift.

Don't forget to tag your dicks NSFW too.

i was gonna post a pic of a rere...but now i feel like a horrible person for having the idea.

To be honest, I kinda got out of hand with my reposting of the live top gear race today.
But I usually post something once in the morning, 9 AM-ish, and then again at night 5 PM-ish, but only if I worked really hard on it and it's longer more serious post (ie. something that you would consider going to the FP, even if it doesn't), but if it goes to the FP then there is no real reason to repost it.

I repost if I worked really hard on something but it got missed. I'm out west and so by the time i have anytime to write something its 6 back east and lots of you are on your ways home from work.

Sine you posted this at 11:13 at night, might want to repost for the morning crew in a few hours. :P

Count me as not a fan. I usually just scroll through everything when I get a long break, though.

It truly sucks to spend time on something and then to have it be lost almost immediately to the fire hose of OPPO...
I try scheduled posts, but I haven't found the best time for these, either.

yeah, its hit and miss. If you do it early you get a big push from the east coast but its rapidly buried. If you do it late morning then you aren't buried as quick but you don't get as much immediate traction. Obviously im not trying to Optimize my Oppo experience because its just a fun place to hang, but if i worked hard on something I want people to read it and tell me how wrong I am.

I always thought it was kind of rude to repost. But it appears as though most people dont feel that way if it's something you've worked hard on. In light of this, i will totally be reposting the RC car video I made for west coasters. Because they deserve to see it too, and because on some micro level, i'm a fame whore.

I hate the reposts. To me, they just scream I WANT MORE ATTENTION!!! You spent all day writing something but didn't get a bazillion hits in the first few minutes, maybe it just wasn't that good?

When I see the same story "reposted fo the so and so crowd...
It seriously makes people look like attention whores. Just schedule the post for peak traffic in the first place, or just republish it without drawing attention to the fact that you deem your own post worthy of everyone else's attention.
