Here is a question....What is the shortest country you have crossed by road?
For me that's the african dictatorship of Togo. (Pretty sure that's it official name yo!)
It took 35 minutes to cross from the Ghanaian border to the Beninese border. What is the shortest country you crossed by road?

Never crossed a single country in its entirety. Closest I got was from Denver, Colorado to Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Lichtenstein!
A teenie weenie country between Switzerland and Austria. If you blink, you might miss it! I have passed through it several times. It's only 61 square miles.

I think it might only be 10km across Lichtenstein from Friedrich to Buchs.

I think it was Argentina:
Going from Rio Grande do Sul to Paraguay, you cross a narrow portion of Argentina, passing through Posadas, before reaching the paraguayan border. I wasn't driving though, I was just a kid on a family trip and I think we last did this in 98 or 99, maybe earlier.

Slovenia.
If you're going vertically through its eastern parts it's entirely possible to miss it because of a sneeze.

The USA... I don't leave the country much. I spent 8 hours on the road today and didn't leave the state (4 hours out, 4 hours back)

The one great thing about living in such a small country is that commuting is relatively easy. I have close friends who live in Kerry and Belfast. I can visit them both on the same day if I wished to.
It isn't too shabby .

South Korea (the Korea that you can see)
And I didn't do it the short way. My battalion was stationed at Camp Casey, about 22 miles south of the DMZ, and convoyed to Daecheon Beach on the west coast. We left at 0dark:30 in the morning and got to the beach at about noon. Because I had an LMTV license, I was put on a detail to drive down to Pusan Naval Base which was as far away from Daecheon as you can get while still being in South Korea. We once again left at 0dark:30 again and got back around 23:00 that night. Granted this was mostly due to our LT getting the convoy lost (shocker) in Daejeon, but it would have been long either way.

Like many others here, it was the USA for me. I drove from Phoenix to Cape Cod, bottled some water, and drove to Malibu and dumped it in the ocean because that's the kind of reckless eco-vandal that I am.

I was going to say Luxembourg, then I thought hey, this is a trick question. The smallest I've driven across was Vatican City, .44km2.

With me driving, USA. Took me 26 hours to go from Kentucky to Phoenix. I've been to both coasts, but haven't done coast-to-coast (yet).
Riding, Jamaica. We took a Toyota HiAce across the interior of the island. 3rd world driving at its best. Breathtaking views, narrow, unblieveable roads, and 9 of us packed into an awesome little van (my god, I still want one). It took us about 8.5 hours.

It has something to do with dissolution of Yugoslavia and giving Bosnia access to the sea. But not to international waters. Weird

I have crossed Lichtenstein as well. Did you by chance go to the museum/slash park where they have the entire country down to scale and you walk through it like Gulliver?. I went there as a young child. I am a duel citizen of Switz/USA.
That same trip we went through that sick tunnel that connects Switzerland to Italy by going under the alps (longest tunnel I believe). We did it with 5 people crammed into my crazy brothel owning uncles Alfa GTV6 doing 100 mph per hour until he had to panic stop and we just gently bumped a car in front of us. His equally crazy although very sweet Italian wife talked us out of it with the authorities. We went and ate AMAZING northern Italian food and then back to yodelville with uncle Danny hopped up on grappa. Crazy Bastard is still alive into his 70s and still parties.
