Some of you have been asking for photos of the Eagle I'm working on right now. Most of the following were taken roughly a year ago, I think, by the PO. It looks pretty much the same now, except it's on jack stands, and the rocker panels have greasy smudges on them from when I use them for leverage to pull myself out from underneath the car. Enjoy.

This is when I first brought it home and rolled it into the garage, with the help of several friends, because that's one heavy slab of Detroit iron.

nice! I was looking at that same bronze color limited wagon sans woodgrain last year. Love that color.

You know you now have to put a wreath on it annually around christmas and share to OPPO or we will hunt you down. Take it to the next level and put the reindeer antlers on it too

If I haven't forgotten about it by Christmas time, consider it done.

This is beautiful. I love the 'wood' paneling. I would totally paint this green (I know it isn't a Ford), but you could totally make it look like the Griswold mobile.

As hilarious as that would be, I'm leaning more towards this color scheme:

It was built in October 1984.

Can't be that heavy, I push this big ol girl in and out of the garage myself!

Kinja'd!!!

Side note - bad ass car, I seriously love these things. Personally, I'd lift it a little more and put some seriously aggressive A/T tires on it.

You're not the first to suggest something like that. I live in the city, though, so I'd feel a bit silly with big ol' mud tires on it. But who knows.

I said A/T's not M/T's!

The mudder tires are just non-functional for most weather and everyday use. I much prefer A/T's that's what I always put on my wife's Jeeps (she's a Jeep maniac)

Just saw one of these in the local salvage yard. Looked completely intact.

Let me know if you need anything. I'll take pics on Saturday when I get back out there.

Well, funny you should ask. If it's an automatic transmission, I could REALLY use the gear lever assembly. On mine, the little cable that moves when you push the button in, like to move the shifter through the PRND2L detents, is broken.

I'm told this is called the shift indicator cable, or something close to that. Without it, the lever can accidentally be knocked out of whatever detent it's in, which is obviously a Bad Thing. If you get around to pulling that, that would be all kinds of awesome, especially since there are no Eagles in any of the yards near me.

And thanks a lot.
