Kinja'd!!!

Just a few cars I saw on my trip to Nassau last week. It's an odd mix of LHD and RHD cars down there, even though everyone drives on the left.

Mercedes A-Class:

Kinja'd!!!

Nissan Skyline:

Kinja'd!!!

Nissan March:

Kinja'd!!!

Nissan Primera:

Kinja'd!!!

Toyota Altezza:

Kinja'd!!!

Suzuki Swift:

Kinja'd!!!

There were a ton more, but those are the highlights anyway.

"Oh shit look an A-class."

"Oh shit look a Skyline."

"Oh shit look an Altezza."

Ah nice, you're staying at the hilton I see. Lovely view from there, and I really like their foyer.

Yeah, my traveling companions were less than thrilled with me. They wanted to buy duty-free rum and wristwatches, and I was stopping to photograph every car on the island.

I went to Portugal and some cars were pretty cool to see in the flesh. However, the Portuguese mostly drove 10 year old Opel Corsas.

Yea you're best off going to a rich country or at least a rich area. For example London just looks like a giant hypercar show.

Actually, I just stopped in Nassau for the day. I was on a cruise. Is there a Hilton in one of those pictures?

The pink building in the Nissan March and Primera should be it, and it's across the street from Dunkin Donuts if I remember correctly.

I couldn't tell you, but it was practically the first car I saw when I walked out of the port.

Hmm, I thought they were some kind of government buildings. I know one was the Library of Nassau. In any event, most of the pink buildings were undergoing heavy renovation. Lots of scaffolding.

I know of a place in Hong Kong where you can find a R34 sedan and R33 sedan together.

//hehe

I was only there for a day, since it was a stop on my cruise. So I stuck around the port and didn't travel very far. There's lots of duty-free shopping, so if you want a nice Breitling or Movado for one-third the price, check out Little Switzerland. You can tour the Bacardi rum factory, and I saw signs for a couple other distilleries, but didn't get to them.

The straw market is fun if you've never done it before. The place is packed with stalls where locals sell touristy things (T-shirts, straw bags, wood carvings, beads, shells, and the like). Fun if you love to bargain. The price they give upfront is always artificially high, since haggling is expected. When I visited years ago, the straw market was full of counterfeit designer bags, but the government has cracked down on that since then.

The Atlantis resort is beautiful, but I didn't visit it on this trip. The last time I was in Nassau (8 years ago), it was free to walk the grounds, but now I think they charge you to walk anywhere past the lobby.

There's also fried conch everywhere (be sure to pronounce it "conk," like the locals do). Conch burgers, conch salad, conch fritters, and so on. If you like calamari, you'll love it; very similar.

Cool thanks. I need to start saving like 3 years ago for a breitling aeromarine that would be sweet to pick up!

I am also going on a cruise with carnival on a boat called sensation. How did you like your cruise?

What do you know! I snapped this pic of the Sensation as it was pulling into port. It parked about five berths away from my ship.

I sailed on the Celebrity Constellation, and it was all right. It's not the newest ship in the fleet, and Celebrity tends to attract an older, less lively crowd. I think I had more fun when I sailed Norwegian.

I've heard the pros and cons of sailing on Carnival. On the one hand, Carnival cruises tend to attract the youngest, most fun-loving people. On the other hand, they have mostly older, no-frills ships, and I hear the food and quality of service aren't the best. But I've never done Carnival personally. Those are all things I've heard secondhand.

Sweeet thanks. This is my first cruise and what concerns me the most is the food. As long as it doesnt totally blow I will be alright though I do cook and am pretty picky about quality when I am paying for it.

Looks like a sea worthy vessel.
