I've got a swear filter installed on my laptop (don't judge, I just don't enjoy being cussed at, that's all), and it replaces everything with the word "stupid". I don't know why, but your posts just looks really funny with all those "stupid"s.
What the stupId is wrong with this stupId site stupId's not working it's stupId stupId and everything is glitchy stupId disappearing and reappearing randomly notifications are stupId comments not showing up why the stupId cant we just have one layout that works and not stupId with everything?
But seriously, I feel your pain. Kinja's been pretty glitchy ever since they started switching blogs over to the new format; I wonder if it's somehow putting extra strain on the old-style blogs too.

That's really funny! I normally don't talk like that, but sometimes you just have to let it out with the most ridiculous overuse of the F word you can. You just have to imagine little Shirley Temple yelling it. Censorship is almost always funny. I remember watching part of a movie called 3000 Miles To Graceland censored for tv, it was funnier than most comedies.
What's odd is that Oppo/Kinja gets worse late at night when there are less people on.

But there's nobody coming to save us from Kinja.

That is odd. Maybe that's when the techs are playing around with the settings. Or maybe they run Kinja like the old radio stations; they turn the server down to 'power saver' at night.
(just joking, but man wouldn't it be funny if that's really what was causing this?)

I'm inquiring as to what happened, but I have a guess: Since traffic is lowest between like 330-430 am that's when they tend to deploy code (as opposed to in the middle of the day). So if there were problems then it could have been that.

Kinja needs better internal testers. Far too many issues being put into 'production'.

It's normally later than that (Eastern time) when things get really bad. I had guessed they might have been changing the site to Tiger, but it's been happening for a couple days now and nothing has changed and you said the changeover would be seamless.
Basically, recent posts disappear and it looks like nothing new has been posted in a few hours. Comments do not always appear under posts, and when they do not all of them show up all the time. Notifications do the same thing, I'll get a notification and it will be an old one from earlier that day. Newer ones are gone. Sometimes the account button in the top left corner goes grey and stops working. The same happens on Jalopnik and other main Gawker sites. I get lot of 404 messages when trying to load pages, here and on Jalopnik.
Thanks for your concern, Matt.
