Ooh how I envy thee

They are surprisingly easy and fun to build, not to mention cheap. I actually sourced most of the parts for mine from the hidden corners of the craigslist free section.
Give it a try, all you need is a bike and about $150 to get a working machine that will yield between 130-150MPG (and hit about 45 mph if you have absolutely no fear)

Rode one of those one day... Total blast! Is that yours?

Yep, bit of a winter project for me. Just got her running correctly a few weeks ago.

i've got one, too. but, i'm tired of the grubee engine and am working on building a clutch for a lawnboy 141cc.

Does the muffler on yours fall off constantly? Mine does. Even after multiple reweldings

Have not experienced that, but I do experience periodic loosening of every bolt connected to the head.
Do you mean it fails at a weld?

I don't mind the grubee engine (the jackshaft kit helped a lot), but I can imagine these things would be terrifying fun with 141cc

i'm not sure if this will work.

after getting bored with that (and being terrified at how much huffy wheels flex under load) i made a friction-drive setup for a bmx bike. 25cc leafblower engine with a 3-1/4" drive wheel fires about 6 times for every wheel revolution. far too steep to run on it's own power, it was like always having the wind at my back. that lasted for a couple of months, then i broke the engine case.

I have that problem as well. It failed tje first time where the muffler bolts to the pipe. I welded it back, but the vibrations just crack my welds right open.

hmmm, mine doesn't have any bolts between exhaust components. The only bolts are the ones that connect the exhaust pipe to the cylinder head.

odd. Mine was bolted at the flange between the muffler and the pipe.
