Those are usually called radial engine I believe.

No, this is a rotary.

The propeller is fixed to the engine case and the whole thing rotates. A radial is a more traditional fixed case, moving crank engine.

radials are stationary with a spinning crank, rotaries spin the engine around a stationary crank.
wonder if i could mount a couple of those inside bicycle rims?

All kinds of awesome... Look at the torque reaction in the airframe from the engine accel/decel...
Not to mention the sound of the large scale jets flying overhead is a nice contrast to the Rotary...

Pretty much. These planes were never fast or maneuverable to begin with, but you certainly could roll left far better than you could roll right.
