I know I have been gone for a while but I need to say this.
I really like this thing, enough to consider trading in my GTI and getting one. (Diesel and in this lovely shade of blue, preferably MTX but I wouldn't mind the 9 spd)
I have always had a love of boxy looking things with diesel engines, this just ticks all my boxes, if they price a nicely equipped one around 25k I won't be able to resist.
Anyways, I'll be hanging around more often now.

I'm the same way! After my Civic's lease it up, I will consider this thing a lot.
I love this aggressive angry styling.

I don't know. I'm not going to knock anyone for their opinion about a car, as my business is forming opinions, so to each his own. But this car, to me, looks to much like a Fiat Panda with a 7 bar grill. That, and Jeeps should be made in Toledo, OH, not Italy. Jeep is a distinctly American brand, unlike almost all other domestic cars, as it is named after one of the most iconic vehicles in history. It would be like making Ferrari's in Detroit, it just doesn't feel right. The Renegade will, most likely, sell very well, which is good for Chrysler/Fiat as a whole, but I'd like it a whole lot better if it was made in the US. Just my $0.02 worth. I'd have mine in red though. It looks much better in that color.

I really hope the diesel is a little torque monster, assuming it has a turbo you could probably get some crazy numbers with a simple tune.

To be fair, I think it should just be sold as a Fiat over here. I know it won't be because Chrysler/Fiat have been working on "branding" in the US.
I really dig the Jeep styling though, It just looks good to me.
