I've read some of my favorite build threads on stanceworks... We may not all like stance, but they are one of the coolest/most eccentric car cultures around today.

Well, that has little to do with stance, and the response seemed to be largely negative, so that pretty much negates an positive spin you can extrapolate from this onto stanceworks.

Lame. Take a nice looking car and make it look like a base model? Thats not sleeper. Taking an actual base model car and making it faster is sleeper.

Sorry, just trying to say that although stance is usually pretty dumb, you can find some cool stuff on their forums that appeals to a broader audience.

What a waste. The E39 is one of my all time favorite cars, this upsets me.

E39 M5's are my favorite car. The only reason I like and laugh at this instead of cry myself to sleep is because he's somewhere in Europe, and I'm the US so my fine selection of M5's remains unharmed haha.

To reconcile the pics seen I have to believe that he really needed money so he sold the M bumpers and got the lessor trim for a bargain..or maybe it was a trade plus cash kind of deal.
There's nothing cool about what he did...its super tool to make a car pass as beige camry.. Lets face it, the second it was debadged it became invisible to the average observer (97% of the world population).
So to conclude:
Taking a plain-Jane car and swapping in a powerhouse of your choice: cool.
Taking a true performance car and making it look like its related base model: not cool, not at all.

I would have liked this done to almost any other car. But E39s hold a special place in my heart (and groin).

That's awesome, one of the best stanceworks threads by far!
