I dropped by the CCCM last week and snapped shots of a beautiful 550 Spyder and GT40 in the showroom. If there's interest I may post up the pics and maybe try to write a bit about them. The guys at CCCM were busy attending to clients at the time so I wasn't able to get a word in. If anyone knows how to reach them I'd like to know more about these cars (i.e. numbers matching originals?).

I looked on their website and the Ford GT40 has a steering wheel that says CAV which leads me to believe the GT40 is a replica (Very well made one) called the Cav GT. The Porsche is a little bit more difficult to figure out but based on the power figures they claim it cant be original. (Unless I am missing a special spec version that puts out more than the highest number I could find that came in at 135hp for the very late series cars.)

You could always ask jbh about the cars, he works there. IIRC the 550 Spyder is a replica, a Beck maybe (which are supposed to be good, I think).

Hey I work there! The 550 Spyder and GT40 are reproductions, and damn good ones at that. Fire away with any other questions.

Quite right, and quite good.

The guys at CCC do like to upgrade the power of their cars to what the customer is expecting, rather than what the car originally came with. So that could explain it as well.

Part of me probably knew they were reproductions, but oh how I hoped at least one was an original...

Still a bit chilly this time of year, but props for taking it out for a spin.

Where's the GT40 from?

CAV. South African company I believe.

Aaron is correct. It's a CAV GT40.

That would take some serious coin and confidence to upgrade an original 550 because they go for over 3 million dollars these days
