It's been far too long, and I really want one. If the weather is nice next weekend I might weasel my way into a test drive somewhere

Test drive a FRS or BRZ and then test drive a Miata. Report back and initiate the shitstorm.

I do Ned to drive an FRS with three pedals. I drove an automatic, I was underwhelmed

Really they should be similar, albeit the FRZ should have better rigidity and should in the long run provide a more stable platform for the suspension to work on, but you lose the joys of water leaks and wind noise and the ability to go topless. . . I would love an FRZ but they are too rich for my poor ass right now so I make due with my NB. Both are great FR cars and appeal to a similar market, the miata works because the NA and NB are fucking cheap to own and buy and mod. The FRZ is still new so it is considerably more expensive to own and do shit to. So I dunno, I got no qualms against the FRZ and I'd probably own one if I could afford it.

The three pedal version is much more miata like but not too exciting. The handling is good. I own one and once owned a 91 miata but I wonder how it compares to a modern one.

I'm going to own one within the next 12 months. I'm hoping to buy a house though, so money is being saved.

With that said I jokingly sent a link to one by my parents house to my mom asking her to buy it for me and I'll pay her back, and she's told me to keep sending them because she might feel generous someday. Fingers and toes crossed

I drove a modern Miata, it's damn good. Since my ultimate budget will be low, I'm looking at an old Miata. I'd like an NA for the headlights go up and down action

NAs are indeed fucking awesome. Mine had speakers in the headrests. Pretty badass for nineteen fucking ninety one.

Give your mom a huge hug and remember to tell her you love her every fucking day of your life! They are worth it to own at least once in your life. I really enjoy mine, I haven't done shit to it yet as I'm a fucking broke college student right now but man it is a fun car to have. And it is pretty cheap to maintain and run if you are at all mechanically inclined.

I just test drove one, the other day, might very well pick one up in the next week or 2.

What generation were you looking at?

Go straight to an 2007+ NC GS or GT if you can, a low mileage one! 2006s have seats that can't be adjusted on the height and you are too low IMO. By 2007 they changed that.

I'm looking at spending ~$3000, so an NA or NB. I want an NA if I can find one in decent condition
