Click this: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ; Alternatively add ?tiger=off or ?tiger=on to the end of the URL in your address bar to switch between formats. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to revert Opposite Lock.

It will switch you to the old format!

Edit: I really want everyone who needs it to be able to see this, so please excuse the repost.

UPDATE:

You can toggle between formats on any page, although why you might want to is beyond me at this time. :)

Use the text string ?tiger=on at the end of the URL in the address bar to switch to the latest format, and ?tiger=off to switch back to the older format.

Update: The only use I have so far for the new format are the crowdsource interviews like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ; the new format brings the answered questions and answers to the top of the que, the only redeeming feature I have seen so far for the new setup. Unfortunately it is unable to do so in chronological order!

I used to browse to uk.jalopnik.com for about a year until they finally forwarded everything to v5.0, or whatever it is now.

I finally gave up on the front page :(

This link switches the Jalopnik frontpage, and all articles you click to go to back to the old format, now that it has been consumed by the cyborg tiger known as kinjas latest form.

I just used it. Not because anything was broken for me, but because I hate not being able to see ALL of the threads. I either have the option to only see the most popular threads or every single individual post sorted by recency and not relation. Also, once you select the latter you have to scroll through the entire list of replies to switch back to the former. Neither is ideal.

Sorry, I don't know enough about coding/scripting to be able to toggle it on individual pages, which is what I think you are getting at. Andrew Daisuke originally pointed out this workaround.

I am pretty sure that is all it is. Since doing it this morning, it has been "normal" (old version) all day. Either way, hooray for having a work around!

Yes. Just add "?tiger=off" at the end of the URL and it'll be like the good old days.

I am guessing a moderator might be able to tweak the promoted post function to keep something stickied to the top, but I doubt that kinja has a function to do so otherwise.

The biggest problem I'm having at work is that while at work, the new format is totally unuseable.

Not that it's hard to use, no. It just doesn't work.

I can't see the header, I cant see the comments, I cant' see pictures on the front page.

It's just this massive list of broken images and headlines so if there's oh say, something rather racey that would normally be hidden by a giant nsfw tag on the picture.

I'm playing roulette.

And at home, where I can comment. Well, everyone knows how that's been going.

Not an expert, but sounds like the firewall at work is interfering.
