Got a parking ticket. I park my truck on the side street by my house. Now that the snow has melted, it was apparently too far from the curb. I never bothered to move it as I went back to driving my car to work.
Now I can either pay online, but by doing so admit guilt and potentially acrue points on my license, or I can try to appear later this week, during work and contest it to hopefully avoid points/fines.
It's probably only $25+court fees.
I am off Tuesday. I will probably call Monday morning and see if they can let me appear Tuesday. I've never been in court. I don't want them to throw the book at me for forgetting to move my truck.

Pretty sure if you challenge it you get a court date whenever they feel like it. It's also a BS charge, but you might have to pay court costs even if you win.

Court date is March 6. I have to work March 6. I don't have to work March 4.

I got a parking ticket for parking in front of my house once, the driveway couldn't be used due to renovations in the house.

Never heard of a place that left empty spaces in the docket, I doubt you'll be able to move up. Best of luck though.

That's lame.
The street parking isn't the issue. It's that I was too far from the curb.

I would pay it and move on. It's probably not worth the hassle.

I would check the coding on it. I don't think you get points for parking violations. If you are okay with paying the fine then I would pay it rather than paying the extra $35 court fee. Court fee in NJ is $35

Wait, in what state do they give you points for parking tickets?!
