Besides the annoyances that come with new fancy keyless fobs, I feel like we really miss out on the character of older keys.
Its not very fancy, but its just so damn cool looking. Keeping it simple. Nothing to go wrong with the electronics, immobilizers, etc. You know if your car doesn't start, its not because the keys broken. Regardless of any practicality and technology disadvantages, old keys just look better.
Forgetting the fact that one of these unlocks a Fiesta and the other unlocks a 911, which would you rather have in your pocket all day?
Got any older classy looking keys lying around? Post em in the Comments

Nothing special. Just some Uncut GM keys.

This is why I love Ferrari keys. The satisfaction of both turning a nice old-fashioned key and pressing a starter button.

Fob. That key looks like it could slice off my bollocks.

I don't really miss needing two keys to operate a car. IIRC, the round was the doors/trunk and the square was ignition, n'est-ce pas?

Don't try to open a beer bottle with it.. I've broken 3 keys now doing it..

what did you call me?
And yeah, I found these at an old job, thought they were neat, they were on the floor near all the other old car stuff. I wouldn't miss having two keys either, my truck has one and its a screw driver.

Oh so cheap and easy! LOL.

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?
The overly polite way to say, "Would you like to go to bed with me tonight?" Words made famous by Patti LaBelle. The original is infinitely better than the Christina Aguillera cover.

"See this key here? They said if I bought it today, they'd give me this really loud key holder. I kept telling them I had pockets, but they wouldn't take no for an answer."

I love that shutting the car off involves taking the key out, not pressing a button. It feels so proper to kill the engine in a mechanical way.

Exactly. I was like "between a smooth stone shape and a prison shank? I'll take the stone"

Oui, round one for the doors & trunk/hatch, square one for the ignition.

Yep, feels ten times better for sure.

For GM at least. We owned Caprices back in the 70's and 80's. And Chrysler keys always went in upside down. At least to me.

The 'worst' part of Ferraris is the seats, and thats not their fault. Its mine, cause I'm fat. If I wasn't so big, the seats would be a non issue.
I genuinely don't go for Ferraris at all. But lately. Fuck it, I've drunk the magic kool aid.
