So is it just perfect weather there all the time?

At least they've got their headlights on .

Except for about 10 days out of the year, it truly is.

Weather man just said we're supposed to get a year's worth of rain in the next 24 hours. We desperately need it but this will get ugly.

yup, I like it when people only have 1 high beam on. Just so sad that all you can do is laugh

The only bad thing I hear about that place is the toxic smog. But I bet even that's fun.
![]() 02/28/2014 at 10:26 |

It's highly exaggerated. We just say that to keep tourists out.

This problem happens all the time when it snows here during mid-day. I don't care that it's relatively "bright" out. I need to see your fucking car.
Oh, and to those people who have white cars that don't have their headlights on when it snows, a hardy double-fuck you as well.

Don't make me list all the things I hated about that place. We'll be here all day.

More like 'people panicking and sliding off the road everywhere'

What? Someone who doesn't like LA? First person I've ever met. I've ever been there, so I'm not defending it or anything.

My Chemistry teacher here in Tulsa use California as the symbol of perfect weather.
![]() 02/28/2014 at 10:38 |

So California drivers handle rain the same way southern drivers handle snow?
Oh, this could get ugly.
![]() 02/28/2014 at 10:39 |

No, we're worse. Trust me it's a almost like a joke, until someone goes and slides into you.

Lololol, plenty of people don't like LA. Mainly people who hate blowing money on rent, insurance, taxes, overall heightened cost of living, and would like to own a home without being millionaires ;) Saving $1000/month on rent alone is worth more than weather to me, especially since I spend the daylight in a cubicle either place and I like Michigan a lot better.

In your defense, the lack of rain means a lot of oil buildup on the roads that all comes sliding off in a huge slick when it does rain for the first time in five months. #motorcyclistproblems

I forgot to factor in how expensive it is to live there. I've lived in NY all my life, and I don't mind the cold weather at all. The seasons are a nice change of scenery every once in a while. Snow is just really fun to drive in. That's something everyone should experience.

Where in NY? I'm originally from Westchester/Dutchess county area

But I'm in Albany for college currently.

Cool beans, two of my best friends went to St Rose and are doing grad/law school at UAlbany. Took a road trip through Canada to go party with them on Lake George last summer.

UAlbany is where I'm at now, very cool!

Last fall we got some of the most insane rain I've ever seen. Visibility was maybe 50 yards. I was heading down the highway with my wipers visibly shaking the entire car with how fast they were changing direction when all of a sudden an SUV with no lights on whatsoever appears behind me doing 10 over the 55mph speed limit and just about creams me. Five minutes later I almost cream a guy in front of me who was going 35mph with no lights on.
What. The. Fuck.
EDIT: This is Kansas, BTW. We're not strangers to heavy rain, or snow, or ice, but this was the first rain we've got all year.

If you read closer, you'll see they all had their highbeams on........well, probably.

The other night in Houston, it was foggy. In the 45 mile commute home I counted 43 cars on the highway with their high beams on. It's usually 20 on any clear night. If you can't tell i have a boring commute.
