Don't know much about the engine, but the race car sounds absolutely fantastic! And like every race car it looks super aggressive.
The road car sounds amazing as well! Is the engine related to the E-type V12? I don't know. But it might be, the cars came out relatively close to each other, so I don't see why they wouldn't be.
So, while it isn't possible for me to own an Italian V12, that's okay cause the English one works just fine.
And to finish it all off. The 7L, 750hp, Group C showstopper.

Ew, its an auto. I wonder how hard it is to do a manual swap.

Awww hell yes. I've been keeping my eye on them for a long time now. Definitely on my 'to own soon' list.
I'll have one with a 5-speed manual swap and a set of exhaust cutouts and it'll be awesome :)

They only made a couple of hundred manual ones, and they used the old 4-speed form the E-Type. Strong box, but a bit of a pig. I think it was only so they could quote faster acceleration times.
For manual swaps, check out The Driven Man . They do 5sp, 6sp and close ratio 5sp kits

5 speed swap is a great idea. A V12 without a manual is just no fun.

Agreed. You definitely need full control over your gears to sing it right to 7k :)

I think I am going to start putting together a parts list for this car. Kind of like what I did with the 240sx. Dis is gonna be fun.

I do that too :) I've got a list for an Alfa 3.0l GTV6 and 3.5l 6, a Lancia Beta Integrale, a Jaguar XJC, XJ40R Estate and XJS and a Triumph TR6 2.6l, Toledo Sprint, TR8 and 32v Stag.
None are cheap, but all are awesome :)

The 240sx one is super cheap! You can get headers for the car for 100 bucks! 100 BUCKS!!! Imagine that, although, this is a dream list so I am getting all the expensive parts. I had one for the FRS, but I decided to ditch it and get exhaust and wheels and then start paying the 2/5ths the my parents helped by back.

My mate's Peugeot 106 GTi is like that and I'm insanely jealous. He picked up a 4-2-1 manifold and a rather nice mandrell-bent exhaust system for £200. My Alfa's headers alone cost £100 more than that :S
So the plan is exhaust, wheels, payment of debts and then 240sx? Sounds like a plan :)
Have you decided on wheels yet? I can't remember whether you'd already got an exhaust either.

That is the basic plan. Wheels, springs, and exhaust. Shouldn't be more than 2 months of work in the summer. I already have the exhaust. Headers and a catback As for wheels I am getting a set of Rota Titans . Finally some springs. So total for all the mods will be about 3000 at the most.
Sadly, I probably won't get a 240sx until I am out of college. I have to pay rent and then pay my parents back for helping me buy the car. I do wish I had an older car though, then I wouldn't have the stigma of being a spoiled kid and I could modify it cheaply. Talk about first world problems.

Love that exhaust note. It baffles me why they weren't like that from the get-go, even if it was just the subaru versions. Need to hijack a GoPro and get some noise of it under load :) wheels are sexy too.
Eh, whatever you drive some people are going to find a stigma attached to it. Plus, if your parents only helped you with 2/5ths of the purchase that's better than damn near everyone else (including me) :)

Oh, also, to answer your question. All Jag V12s are the same basic engine. The only difference between the E-Type one and the early XJS is that the E-Type had carbs and the XJS had injection.

I guess that is true. You can't please anyone! If you have a beater you are too poor to care for. If you own something nice you are a rich bigot. Funny thing is, lots of people at my school own cars more expensive than mine, I guess because it is more sport people attach more of an idea with it.
I will get more videos soon! I will get back in it this weekend!
