These belong to the Sheriffs I work alongside and they use them to recreate or plan traffic patters and so forth. I'm contemplating a trade for that Mini, at least. What'cha think? The 959 is an older series, buuuut, I dunno.

I'd like it more if it were...
EDIT: Kinja broke. Can't share image. Going to away from Kinja.

I have that Porsche new in package. It actually might be my most valuable Hot Wheels car, if I recall correctly. I do know that that's because of the package, though. (it was re-released a few years later, and they made a hell of a lot more the second time around, so it's only rare if you have the first run's package)
Still, that is insanely clean and beautiful! I would kill to have it.

You'd hate me; I don't keep 'em in the package. I keep the cards, but I don't keep the cars on 'em.
Gonna go and see about getting my grubby mits on a couple of those today tho.

I don't hate you for it, but I'd seriously question your mental stability if you opened one of the ones like this that are worthless loose but significantly valuable in package.

So would I, which is why when I come across valuable cars in the plastic on mint cards, I flip them for a profit if it's worth it, or I walk. I'm not the guy who gets ahold of Spider-Man's first appearance and starts thumbing through it.
But then, if Godfate McAllah the Almighty blessed me with some uber valuable vehicle, like a 250 GTO, I'd probably never drive it either - just turn around and flip it for the dozen(s) (of) cars I really want, because I could take them outta the plastic.

Same here, although I generally wait a while before selling. Even if it may not become any more rare, exactly, it's safe to assume that over time the other examples will gradually fall into the hands of their final owners, who will never sell them. At that point, anyone who still needs it will pay more, so yay.
