Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum. Sure they're not R888's, but I'm still excited. And I'm also a little short on cash. But I'm excited.

I have some Ecsta 4X's and I think they are great. A bit more harsh than the previous tire, but I was looking for more grip, which they do just fine.

Kumho Ecsta's (not the LX Platinum) came OEM on my Elantra and I hated them. They were fine in most scenarios, but awful in rain. Driving in the rain felt like I was driving on ice.

I think I have one (1) of those on my car. This winter's been brutal on my cars. I've blown three tires (two on the Focus, one on our T & C) so far due to potholes, with another with a slight bulge on the side wall that also needs replacing. The used tire stores are doing monster business. I refuse to replace all four tires until this spring, when I know there's a good chance of them lasting more than 1 - 2 months.

I'm probably the only person that will admit to having Kumho's on both of my Merican GM's. Needed a cheap set of ties for my truck a few years back and got a set mounted for $300. For a second vehicle, they work great.

The Vette has Ecsta SPTs on it, and honestly, I can't complain about them too much. It's what the car had on it when I got it, and when it came time to replace them, figuring how much highway driving I did at the time, I threw a set of them back on since they're inexpensive and last for "forever." Forever on that car = a little over 20k miles.

No shame in Kumho's. If you need a cheap set you need a cheap set.

My Milan has Radar's on it. WTF ARE RADARS?! They came from the dealer on it and they've done really well, approaching 2 years on them.
