Looks like Kinja decided to put the pics in whatever order it damn well pleased, so this will be a whirlwind, random tour of the pics I took today in my 8 mile walk up Laguna to the marina, across Fort Mason, Fisherman's Wharf, then Embarcadero all the way to Brannan to the event venue where I set up a trade show booth.
In town on business, didn't have anywhere to be till like 1:3o today. So I decided to go for a walk to find breakfast. I'm staying in Japantown, so I set out heading up Laguna towards the marina.
There's Alcatraz
The aforementioned trade show booth:
An Abarth:
Red bridge, white beige:
The fog was just lifting over the GG Bridge.
A ratty old 260Z in front of the local Safeway.
My breakfast... a spinach and mushroom omelette.
Fisherman's Wharf
In front of my hotel, looking west.
Is it JDM, bro?
Such hill. Much climb. Wow.
Marina ahead, 944 in the foreground much more interesting at the moment:
...back down the hill.
Neat old F250
A 240 and an M30... don't see either in that good of shape back home.
Among the cars I did not get an SR20 on... an orange round-taillight 2002 driving down Brannan St., and a number of classic 911s.

Ah San Francisco. The least Jalop city in the US.

I love this city. I come out here about once a quarter for some event. This time I'm out here for the LAUNCH Festival, which our company is co-sponsoring.

All the Jalop stuff is there, you just have to know where to look (or who to ask).

6 bucks to get in. 6 bucks to get out. An hour of looking for the priveledge to pay 50 bucks to park for the night. Perpetual traffic. Freeways with 50 mph speed limits. Zillions of pedestrians.
Get into the 'burbs and it's fine, but trying to bring a car into the city is an absolute fucking nightmare.
