Have fun guessing what it is.

Legacy?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 20:57 |

A Subaru WRX
![]() 02/22/2014 at 20:57 |

a Miata?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 20:57 |

Obviously it's a Lambo.

Legacy GT. Someone on here was doing an LS swap on one. Same person?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 20:58 |

Boxer Miata. You're right on the money.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 20:59 |

Keen eye. I thought it would take forever for someone to guess that

2006-ish Subaru Legacy
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:02 |

Looks like a (2005?) legacy to me.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:03 |

Nah, I'm fixing this motor. I'd love to see an LS-Swapped one, though

Close, but no cigar
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:04 |

Shit, you guys are better than I thought
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:07 |

Impretzel?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:08 |

Is it a GT?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:14 |

No one was selling an old Legacy with a working engine? ... because if it was me, I usually buy cars running with all the pieces. If you are taking it apart to do a full JDM STI conversion, then I approve.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:19 |

Tis a GT. 2.5 Turbo
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:20 |

Well buying cars broken means you pay a LOT less.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:21 |

Falso.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:24 |

outback sedan?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:25 |

Right on the dot
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:27 |

What exactly happened to it that you had to pull the motor?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:29 |

Obvious Subaru flat four in the first picture, Legacy "divot" headlights in the last told me the year
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:35 |

Obvious to some, now obvious to others.
It's an easy guess for Subaru people really.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:35 |

Did you not see the piece of piston that's missing?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:36 |
|
Looks like it was doing this though.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:38 |
|
Oh! I must have missed that the first time through. That's no good.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:40 |
|
So what's the exact year? And sedan or wagon?
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:40 |

I applaud your music taste, and forgive me for what I'm about to present, but the title is too perfect.
Instead, I'm doing this to it.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:41 |

Es no bueno, but we have the tools. We can save it.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:43 |

05 Legacy GT. 2.5 Turbo 5-speed. Sadly, no wagon this time.
And I have no idea what it drives like
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:44 |
|
I see what you did there.
Is it the turbo version? I can't really tell. I'd imagine I would see the TD04(I think that's the STi turbo though) hanging off of it somewhere.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:49 |
|
Tis a turbo, it's just on the back. It employs a detuned STi motor, with a smaller turbo I think.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:54 |
|
Oh wow. Never knew the turbo was on the back of those motors. I imagine it's the same motor as the STi just a different tune as you said, but I think it's the same turbo if my memory serves me right.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 21:57 |
|
I'll have to look it up. If it is, I could probably find a tune to get the power out of it. If it's cheap enough, why not?
As long as I can get it to drive, I'll be happy.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 22:00 |
|
I think it's just the cam, and the tune and exhaust that are different, but yeah. If it's cheap enough you might as well.
I'd be happy to have a car at this point. Still shopping.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 22:09 |

What're you looking for? Budget, location etc.
I'm fairly boss at car shopping, especially if you had a little bit of mechanical skill
![]() 02/22/2014 at 22:24 |

Car guys without tools are like those guys who memorize baseball stats, and can't hit a ball.
![]() 02/22/2014 at 23:56 |

A lot like, but not exactly like the one I traded about 3 months ago.
Nice car, and once it is up and running, you'll love it.
BTW... 2006 WRX clutch and standard flywheel, rather than the stock sachs and dual-mass flywheel I have heard is a good upgrade, while the engine is out.

I just saw this, uh. You're gonna laugh but I kinda want a Tiburon (keep in mind I'm 19). I've found one. Gonna look at it next weekend, but I'm looking at a lot of other cars too. I'm alright with a wrench, but I prefer running and driving. It's hard to find something that hasn't been touched by Appalachias finest for 5500 bucks. Columbus, Cincinnati, Charleston WV area.
