!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for $30,000. Seems like a lot for a car that looks in need of a good cleaning and new parts (the valve cover is atrocious).

It's funny because while very inflated, that's a pretty good price compared to others.

needs paint, bring me a bucket full o cash.

Totally not worth it. Get a nice 88 M6 for half the cash

You'd be amazed what people consider to be "low" miles these days. I think a lot of sellers have taken the whole "Americans drive an average of 12k-15k miles per year" thing to heart and use it as the golden standard by which they determine "low" or "high" miles.

96,000/26 is roughly 3700 miles a year, I'd say this car was indeed gently used. Now is 96,000 total low for an 83? Maybe not. For some other cars I might be more inclined to call it low. Many cars made in the past decade have a lot of life left at 96,000.

Fuck that guy in the face. You are selling a $30K highly collectible car and you post four pictures, including 2 blurry pictures of the fucking emblem. This guy is a certified asshat. I am glad he is selling the car because he certainly is too stupid to own it. He may has well posted a vertical cell phone video of him putting the key in the ignition but not starting it. I repeat... fuck that guy.

He says he won't sell it for $25k. Sorry. That is about what it is worth. I mean, don't ask top dollar if you aren't willing to put a little money in it for top dollar price.

but what if 70,000 of those miles happened in the last 3 years?

96,000 miles is 96,000 miles, regardless of how long it took to rack them up. I wouldn't call a 1935 Duesenberg with 300,000 miles "low mileage", even though that only works out to 3,700 miles a year as well. Plus the whole storage thing scares me too. Performance cars don't do well in storage. They need to run in order to keep everything working correctly. This could be a terrible purchase by someone who is looking for an investment (although I don't think any M3 is a good investment opportunity).

I can't imagine they'd turn me down if I show up with a briefcase full of $25,000.

Yeah, I suppose I was carefully hinting at the fact that for this particular car is 96,000 miles is high.

I think i just came here to make the case that there are plenty of cars for which this could be considered low to medium. But at the end of the day, this is a high mileage example. Haha.

It's 4pm on a friday, I need scotch to function.

Oh don't get me wrong. If I found a WK Grand Cherokee with only 96,000 I'd snatch it up as soon as I could! Or an older Cherokee even.

I need a little Jameson's in my coffee here.

Then they might be highway miles.

I always say the same thing. A ton of money in front of your face can make people do silly things.

I've got some Dewar's waiting for me at home. Haha.

Oh and if I found an OBS F-150 - 350 with 96,000 and low-rust, I'd snatch it up too :P

CP... Because E30's have a reputation for being pretty reliable/easy to work on people think 150K is "low". Had a guy with a 214k mile 88' M3 that needed a new interior, new paint, and around $2k of mechanical work... He wouldn't budge on his price AT ALL. He was asking $18k which was pretty high for a rough running car.
