I guess for 2014, Toyota updated the steering wheel from the new Tundra and put it in the Sequoia.

my* wheel looks like this:
don't worry though, mine* has a 5 speed stick, but also lacks the navotainment screen
*-Disclaimer: It's not my car, it's my mom's. Being 15 with parents who don't like the idea of me getting a project car, I'm kind of stuck with it. Not saying that's bad, it's a decent car to tool around in, and the wheel has very nice bolstering on it, so it's comfy to use!

I may take some heat for this, but you know what? I really, really like the interior of my car. Steering wheel, gauges and layout included. If I could could change something though, it'd be the quality of some of the plastics... even if they don't get touched a lot.
Still.

Marauder - I want to get this rewrapped, considering alcantara!
745i, the factory wheel I still have, its a rarer 380mm sport leather wheel thats still in very good shape. This is a momo veloce I've had for ages, I knew I'd find a use for it one day.
Bronco - the infamous ford brick. These airbags are destructive as hell, I've seen them blow microwaves and refrigerators to bits

I agree with you, the design isn't the problem (S197's are very roomy and comfy inside, at 6ft 5in I get stuffed into a SN95) but the quality of the materials is typical dark era of ford.

they are similar, just like all the brands. But the part numbers are different so there is something, probably minute. On DB9, there is one tiny hole for a SAS connector that is about 2 inches higher than a Virages. Insurance companies insist that it is the same but nope :]

Sorry, but the tan interior just doesn't jive well with the rest of the car. My wife and I wanted a black Fozzy, but in the SH body style they didn't offer white with black interior. Of course the 2014s do, but we didn't want to spend the cash on a brand new XT

The interior is more of a platinum color, but I do agree that it doesn't jive too well with the rest of the car. At least for most colors. Ours is Sage Green, and the platinum interior works well for it. It certainly helps give the interior an even more spacious feeling, especially with the sunroof open.
It would be nice if Subaru gave the customer the option of choosing the interior color, instead of it being assigned by the exterior color.

Subaru made several hard to notice changes during the production run of these Foresters. Two others that come to mind are the heated seat controls being changed from a 5 position wheel to a 3 position switch (2011), and the map lights getting a switch to change them between on, off, and door (2010).

One can dream for the Subaru of yore, but unfortunately they're getting more corporate. And if you want a certain interior color, then dammit you can pick from the exterior colors we've offered. Aside from that, we love our Foz- it seems to be the perfect balance of econo lux, utility, and sport.
My LGT was Regal Blue with a taupe interior which was... bleh. In 2005 they offered a black interior with whatever exterior color you wanted. 2006, not so much.

I'd never notice that they changed the reading lights/sunglasses holder. I did notice the heated seats button change but I wish they put the buttons in a better area.

I just wish it was smaller or flat bottomed.
![]() 02/21/2014 at 10:45 |

Smaller? It was the size of a hockey puck.
They just need to make the 3 RWD, with better seats, and a less stupid clutch, then it would be perfect.
![]() 02/21/2014 at 11:13 |
|
(Sorry about the mess.)
I quite like the design, but sometimes think I'd have preferred the simplicity of the 106 S1's airbag-less wheel:
![]() 02/21/2014 at 11:13 |
|
I disagree. The s2000 has the perfect size steering wheel, nice and small.
Also, the seats are bad?! Surely you jest? They are some of the better high performance seats I have sat in. The side supports are nice and tall, and the bottom is just right. I just wish they had seat heaters. I know it would add weight but I don't think lightness was a huge priority for mazda.
What do you dislike about the seats?

E30, I don't blame you since any E30 owner in their right mind gets rid of the four-spoke immediately, so they aren't commonly seen on anything other than the ubiquitous E28 528e :p

I'm in love! It's garaged, I don't even want to bring it out. I actually went out today to hose the dust off of it, in the cold! It drives amazing. Actually, it's my first car, and I've had my eye on it ever since it first came out. I worked really hard and got amazing grades in school, and this is my reward. Even though Juniors can drive to school I don't even want to park it in a high school parking lot..
![]() 03/02/2014 at 22:38 |
|
Enjoy it kid! I'm sure you have one of the coolest rides in high school right now.
When I was in high school I drove a 2009 Forester, (got it in late 2008). It was fun having your own car back then. Just be careful and drive safely.
![]() 03/02/2014 at 22:45 |
|
I know it's tempting to drive aggressively in a little hot hatch like that, but I'm a careful and responsible driver. I know the consequences and severity of accidents. I passed my road test first time, not one point off, no driver's ed. I've racked up about 350 hours so far because I drive everywhere haha. Can't believe I actually have the car now! And the sad thing is, only one other kid drives to school.. Yes, it's a small school where half are boarding students, but still... I'm writing an oppo post about things of the like soon..
