Hanging with friends. If not being able to do that is the problem, maybe look for the friends you're missing out on. Hidden friends.

Time.
Cheer and sadness are inevitable, you need only take the good times with the bad.
And if you ever find yourself in a dark place remember that you always have people out there. Even if it's just Oppo.

Forms of art do it for me. Whether it be fine art, movies, literature, music, any type mostly. Even the search for new art helps me enormously.
Here are some to get you started:
Alphonse Mucha
One I had always discounted as childish and silly, but upon finally viewing one of his films as and adult, I became a huge fan. Here is the theme from his movie "Modern Times" titled "Smile."
Hope at least the sentiment helps.

Hey man,
Sorry to hear if you are down in the pits a little bit. It happens.
BUT:
When you get to these points in life, it is important to remember the little things. You have your health, all 10 fingers, all 10 toes, both arms and both legs (hopefully, but if not that's ok too:) Anyhow, take a look at what you have and what you have to give. I know how hard it can be to feel the pressure of the world on your shoulders to perform and to be something that maybe you might feel you aren't. The biggest thing to remember is to "do you" and be yourself. The world is a better place with you in it and fuck all that other bullshit. We don't have very much time in this universe so have fun whenever possible and remember that people love you. Love is seriously where it's at.

Hit redline a couple of times on a random cruise. If not an option, Ben & Jerry's chunky monkey ice cream is an acceptable cure. Or you could watch that Brian Williams rappers paradise video that was just posted.

Beer night with friends, or just chilling with them alcohol doesn't have to be present
watching Trailer Park Boys and being simultaneously happy you don't call sunnyvale your home and wondering what if :p
Going out for a rip
go and do a charitable act
keeping busy (quality time with the car/SO/pet, etc) retail therapy, hit up the gym
just talk to someone
these work for me, hopefully they might help you....
