So, I just recently acquired a new-to-me Dodge Charger R/T and I've seen people driving like morons. So my questions are: What constitutes a good dash cam? What constitutes a bad one? How much should I expect to pay for one?

Thanks again oppo and have a great day!!!

As a token of thanks, here she is in all her gleaming, black beauty!

Great pic and great car! There are even tire marks in the sky. Very Oppo pic.

I've been directed to this site in the past: http://dashcamtalk.com/

They even have a handy and/or dandy comparison chart on the front page. I haven't taken the plunge yet, but this looks like a good jump off point.

I second the dashcamtalk.com website. Has great information and forums on dashcams, quality of the video, and prices. Most come from Ebay/Asia, but there are enough users/reports that bad apples are spotted relatively quickly.

methinks you should find one with a mic you can put under the rear bumper. we put a corsa cat-back on my buddies '12 r/t and it sounded like grunts of passion from a t-rex.
