Seriously, who woulda thunk it?

I had some bags of mulch in my garage, previous renter left it. I finally got fed up with it being there, so I put it up on craigslist for free.

In about an hour I had 6 emails, 4 text messages, 3 phone calls, and a voicemail. One guy got lucky and I actually answered the phone, and he just picked it up.

Seriously, I don't think I could have gotten that kind of reply if I was just giving away bags of cash.

If you find some bags of cash, let this serve as a preemptive request.

If you're giving away bags of cash, let me know. I could always use a few extra bags of that shit, and if I can help you out by taking it off your hands we all win!

$20 bills only please

Sorry, fresh out of bags of cash. Would you like some lightly used kitty litter?

Nope, I don't have any cats. But you can always send your used litter to Dusty Ventures, I hear he needs some.

Huh. Interesting. Mulch isn't exactly expensive or hard to come by. I bought a huge bag of the stuff at Home Depot last week for about three bucks.

I immediately thought 'shit, how much does this cost to begin with?'

Went and looked and sure enough, it's $3.33 a bag. So it was $21 worth of mulch. I'm all for saving money, but my god that was a ton of replies really quickly. And in winter in Kansas, I mean what do these people need mulch for right now?!

My little village gives it away for free every spring.

That said, I've never received any BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FIND MY HOUSE

I ran a door to door mulching "business" with a couple of friends last summer. Stuff's cheap, and sold pretty much everywhere... What type/brand of mulch was it?

Generic? It was in bags labeled 'Premium Red Mulch'

There's is a Home Depot approximately one mile from me. I don't think it would be hard or expensive to get mulch

I gave away a dresser during student move season. I drive a small car so I said I can;t deliver, the amount of responses was staggering, as was the amount of people whom asked for delivery. Sorry guys, even if you give me $20, $30 or $40 bucks, I can't make a huge dresser fit into a Chevrolet Cavalier.

I ended up getting annoyed at the person whom was coming for it, because they were late. I was like "c'mon man" i got shit to do. lol.
