Hell no. I guess I can cross Australia off my places to want to visit.

Only thing even remotely close I ever dealt with was a Wolf spider. Fucker built a web between my front door and screen door. I opened the door and almost ran into the web. After searching the house, the only thing I could come up with was a pot of boiling water, so I opened the door and chucked it at it. Never saw that spider again.

I recently bought a can of Mortein's new Spider Killing surface spray. I had a verrrry lively huntsman causing mischief in the wife's bathroom, so I thought I'd give it a spray.

Turns out they do die, they just take about 20 minutes. However in that 20 minutes they go absolutely fucking psycho, and will run at you.

I would not recommend trying this on a funnel web. Fuckers can run faster than you.
