For the lulz.

I would DD an Atom, why not? More practical than my DDing a Ninja 1000 most of the time. An Atom seems down right practical... I would be able to put a bag of groceries in the passenger seat, I have to hang them off the handle bars of my bike.
I applaud the reasonable choice in DD sir.

I would as well if i lived somewhere it didn't rain.

I would too. We only have an average of 11 days of rain per year, and most are in August, so I wouldnt have to bee all too worried about a freak storm, and I would just drive something else for the month of August...

You sir are my hero.

have you seen the Top Gear episode where they take three track cars for their morning commute? The Atom sadly isn't included, but the general gist is that track cars in inclement weather would be no bueno.
Although, if you are willing to daily a motorbike then an Atom would be a step up

I'd buy some motorcycle rain gear for all weather capabilities but other than that, I'd b good.

One of my dream cars. Have to at least drive one someday.
Looks very stubby in this photo...

They say when it rains it pours, and out here that is true, we get a lot of flooding when it rains, so I would have to take the truck because atoms cant swim

Yeah, I'd invest in some motorcycle rain gear. I'm planning on buying a Ninja 250 soon and I do plan on riding it daily so I'm bracing myself for the inevitable rain.

I've encountered a guy on my way to school twice who owned a blue Atom. Both times it was below 40° in typical Oregon weather at around 7:30 in the morning.

I think the atom also has a small cargo space up front under the cover.

Even better, a place for the wife. I kid.. just in case she reads this.

fuck yea

Totally doable here (Southern AZ). Would love to have one.

I drove one in typical british weather (grey and terrible) and seemed DD'able

I'd rather DD a BAC Mono
Double your lulz, double your fun :P

It has all the room I need for the grocery shopping I do. Anything bigger like furniture would be delivered to my house anyways so that's not an issue.
![]() 02/12/2014 at 16:15 |

Exactly. I don't like anything bigger than a two seater because then people expect me to haul things or drive the group places. The bike takes that a step further because I have very particular rules about the gender and appearance of those who are allowed to cling to my back for a ride.

That would be an absolute riot!

I'd love to DD an Atom.
Also, it snowed today. I'd still drive it if I had one.

Helmet or bomber goggles?
![]() 02/12/2014 at 16:56 |

An Atom is just as practical as a motorcycle, so yes.
![]() 02/12/2014 at 17:06 |

I believe it was goggles.

I want to still be the guy that does stuff like this when I'm 70.
![]() 02/12/2014 at 17:41 |

Me too. More likey to end up with an Exocet though due to the $.
![]() 02/12/2014 at 18:07 |

Those are pretty funky looking but still cool, even though the Atom is no beauty queen either.
What engine are those Excocets running?
![]() 02/12/2014 at 18:54 |

based off of MX-5's, so the NA8C.

Miata. It uses the Miata power train and suspension.
