Just an interesting idea, not really car related although it could turn out that way. Basically, if money wasn't a problem (I suppose Kickstarter might actually like the concept, so maybe.....) I would get about 150-200 sets of fake glasses with built-in hidden cameras. I'd give them out to volunteers, who would wear them for two weeks as they go about their normal lives. I'd make sure that they would understand they are fully anonymous so that they wouldn't be afraid to do anything illegal; the point is, they're doing exactly what they do every day. Then, without their knowledge, all of the cameras record for exactly one minute at some point during the two weeks, completely unknown to the participants. 120 of those minutes (the extra cameras are in case any don't work or aren't actually being worn at the time. Any left over would just mean I would drop the least eventful bits, keeping it at two hours of raw footage no matter what) would then be arranged and possibly trimmed slightly to make sure it's not a complete mess. Finally, it would probably be released in two or three parts because I realize no one is going to sit through two straight hours of this unless it turns out surprisingly well.
The point is that this entire two-hour block of unrelated videos is in a sense just one minute long. Just one minute out of the lives of more than 100 completely different people. I mean, I'd watch it. At least some of it.

This is genius. Studies following people in their normal lives have been done before, just not from the first person perspective.

Yeah. There's a similar thing called Life in a Day , but as the title implies, it covers a whole day from numerous perspectives, so obviously a huge amount is cut out. A shorter time frame gives the opportunity to include every detail for everyone.

Is it too much to ask for unlimited money to do this experiment?
EDIT: I looked it up, it is in fact too much.

Well darn... Back to the drawing board, I guess.

You could always document oppo users' activity to reveal patterns in their attitudes/thought processes.

Quite true, yeah. We'll see.
