Just came back from vacation in Morocco and took a day trip in one of these taxis. A lot of nice old Benzes around. A few days later we were in a W124 that was much less well maintained.
One thing I was really wondering about is that all cars that were being towed were towed by their rear wheels (front facing backwards), does that not really hurt the drivetrain on FWD, especially because the wheels were not straightened before being towed?

I wonder if Mercedes is still doing the "1 badge per x miles" program?
If I had a Mercedes and somehow managed to accumulate 1,000,000 miles, my grille would be blocked.

They're still doing that program. I want to apply for the 200,000 mile one but it apparently is a 6 month long process...
