Cruising in Forza Horizon is more fun than I expected

What's more fun than getting a stock vehicle, tuning it a bit, and just driving it around the map?

I found doing just that was more fun than the races. It all started with me driving a stock Miata. I later tuned a classic Fiat to 75 HP, which turned out to be a breeze to drive, although it only had a 92 MPH top speed. It's just amazing how good this game is, shame it's an Xbox 360 exclusive.

I actually just bought a 3 month gold card a few weeks ago.. And then I got GT6 on sale for $35 shipped from amazon so I haven't been on horizon lately... Also I couldn't sign into my old Xbox account, which had all my cool cars on it :(

For some reason, I can't take corners with that truck after tuning it without it understeering everywhere, could it be the suspension?

I've logged so many hours into that game. My favorite cars for driving around:

1.) S-class McLaren F1 (DLC)

2.) A-class R34 with the engine swapped

3.) S-Class Ferrari F40

4.) A-Class AMC Javelin AMX (basically every upgrade you can throw at it minus forced induction) (free DLC car)

5.) D-class 1986 Honda Civic (so fun beating C-class cars with it on tight roads)

I tuned up the Civic as well, and I believe to the same specs, I love using it on tight roads.

Yes! The commentary on the game is unbearable. Before the race when your rival says some stupid quip about how bad they're going to beat you, and the annoying agent that's like "OMG ur a real race car driver wow omg so cool come get a wristband." I wish I could turn all of that off but unfortunately you can only turn the music off :(

I really enjoy taking my Aventador to the golf course and hooning the shit out of it on those huge jumps. The four wheel drive makes it really enjoyable and you can rack up serious points just doing slides and jumps. In fact, I ranked up at least like 20 popularity spots for messing around for maybe 5-10 minutes.

God, it's irritating. "Come to my showcase event. Don't you like money?" They're such fakes. I thought I wouldn't be able to play anymore but I just resolved to never do another sponsor race.
