EDIT - !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! pointed out in his !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that the car is an older car. It still has the lower wing element, which tells me this is probably/definitely/perhaps/likely not the E22
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Edit 2 - I'm just testing with the "repost" of a previous post without sharing it.
Love the magazine placement on the table. ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! )

Impossible not to love Lotus F1.

At least Red Bull made it to the first test...

Yeah. Still funny though.
Let's see if Renault does any better next week.

Some more:

Nowhere near as bad as the renderings made it look. I actually kind of like it.

That is a real frankenstein car... Renault R27 with the 'new' nose?
I get why they do it but it really bugs me when teams cannibalize old race cars to make these show cars.

Seen this ?

I don't think it's a R27 actually...

Yeah, just did. It's on the top page of Oppo.
Do I not get the joke? Are all Olympians supposed to be gay?
![]() 02/07/2014 at 08:14 |

maybe not an R27 but sure isn't the E22.

No, Russia just has anti gay laws and Lotus is referencing that, making a statement maybe, whatever you want to read into that.

OK. I was wondering if there was something I was missing.
It's a little vague, that's why I asked.

Da fuck is going on with those sidepods. They look like right triangles. Also were did you get these pictures?

Lower rear element is still there, there isn't a vertical center wing support, and the intake is not round like the images they have previously shared.
Old car for sure.

McMike,
I think the picture you posted is the genuine E22. It has that stubby 'wing' sticking out and the RENAULT logo is in the right place.
The full photo posted below is definitely a mashup of an older car and I still think R27 or R28 judging by the suspension keel. Compare the sidepods, suspension elements and air inlet shape, to the E22 renders. The nose doesn't have the stubby wing things, and the RENAULT logo looks like it's in some sort of dip/recession in the nose - though this could be a trick of the light.

We'll have to wait and see. I hope it's the complete car.

I remember seeing this at Mercedes Benz World here in the UK.
Looks an awful lot like an old BAR to me...

I've seen my share of old chassis on static display. No one cares as long as the livery and sponsorship is accurate. It's not like they are going to make 20 cars each year to display in a sponsor's atrium.
That could very well be a BAR, because that ain't no W01
Here's another view.
And the W01

You have the same engine Lotus, don't get cocky!
Well, vulva-y.
