Of course being in the snow belt, we do things with the snow. Tube parks and ski slopes aren't unusual. One local tube park is holding Snow Shovel races. I've never ridden a shovel but it looks to be a lot of fun. With their rules, you can use your own shovel of almost any material. You can also use just about anything to wax up the bottom to go faster. I'm really considering it. Has any one done ridden a shovel? I've tried but never got it to work. Am I just asking for injury here?
Here's a video for an idea of what it is.

I remember it from back in the days when Modified Snow Shovel was an XGames event. Seems to have died out a bit since the 90s, but is starting to make a comeback recently. I've always wanted to do it, but for some reason most ski slopes tend to frown upon anything but a ski/snowboard going down them. Elitist pricks.

My 65' Beetle has carbon fiber dash pannels, glove box door, firewall layer and some parts of the engine are covered by CF. What im saying is my classic German car has more Carbon Fiber then my moder Japanese sports car... I've got things a bit backwards I just realized.. lol

I used to do it all of the time. I used a shovel like this:
It's called "grain shovel". Worked pretty good. The only time I fell was when I tried standing on it. But it was only a minor bruise.
