Got the Eunos badges in today. The sill plates and door handles are still shipping. I still have to order the Eunos nose badge from Rev9. Sucks that it's $60 though. The price you pay for rare jdm parts...

You paid many monies to have badges that make your car look like it was purchased in Japan, but since the steering wheel is on the wrong side everyone knows you didn't?

$60!?! That's crazy money - it's almost 10% of what a whole car would cost!
Maybe I should go around buying really trashed ones, taking the badges off to sell and getting a free car out of it.

Seriously though, you could get all these bits much, much cheaper from British scrapyards even with the exchange rate.

Not really. A used set of badges with a trashed front badge was $60.

However, I'm swapping over a bunch of "mad tyte yo" jdm parts. It's not as bad as it seems.

What other parts are you swapping?

Currently, the door sill plates with original Eunos pieces. I'm looking for a clean steering wheel and a few other pieces that have Eunos logos instead of Mazda logos. There's only small details that are different. While it sounds ricey, I'm keeping a subtle look, so it's just tweaking minor stuff to change the look. I like my cars where only an enthusiast would notice a difference.

There's a little NA miata that's about to go to auction here soon that's caught my attention. Needs paint and a top and most likely something under the hood to be acceptable but I have no idea what kind of money I'd want to throw at it as is.

I'm no expert on pricing. A new top is $250-600 depending on which one you go with. Paint varies. Engines, transmissions, etc are cheap if trashed. A beat up interior will cost a lot to freshen up.

The interior is what's scaring me, apparently someone knows the history of it and it's been without a proper top for years now and is sad because of it. Barely more than scrap seems to be the breaking point of what this car would be worth. There's also a mazda 6 with a blown engine there and a couple other things of interest but nothing I exactly need

I'd walk. The car is likely rusted from the inside out.

Yeah, sounding like a good plan. I want a little rwd mazda but I'm not heart set on it. Though, everything has a price where it's worth it.
