True, but my town is quite small indeed and I'm mostly in the habit of deleting reference, so did it mostly out of habit. Probably should have kept the state (NC) for relevance. For the record, the town *is* "Black Mountain, NC".

There has unfortunately not been a professional speedway near my town since the 70s, though amateur racing persisted for some time at one location. There used to be two NASCAR/Grand National circuits and a drag-racing strip, but all were shut down due to zoning under wealthy local residents and the tourism industry.
